CALL TO ACTION! Consent Decrees & the DOJ

SONA CALL TO ACTION Deadline is Aug. 9th 2019!

The U.S. Dept. of Justice still controls a songwriter’s income. Right now, they are asking for comments on how we feel about that. We have until August 9th to let them know. If we don’t speak up, Goggle and Spotify will speak for us. Support your PRO by adding your name to the ASCAP or BMI letter to the DOJ today!

We are asking for our #MusicArmy to do two things:

  1. Share our Call To Action slide! Simply right click on the image below and save. Then share on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Use the hastags #SONA #MusicArmy #Songwriters #ASCAP #BMI
  2. Sign the letter! If you are an ASCAP or BMI songwriter, please visit your respective PRO’s website to read and sign the letter. Here are the links.

Consent Decrees affect ASCAP and BMI songwriters only, but even if you belong to another PRO, you can help by sharing these slides.
