Songwriting “camps” have been a growing trend in our culture for some time now. They’re often hosted by a producer or a publisher collecting material for a notable artist in the process of making an album.
The bill, which failed in the California Senate Judiciary Committee on June 28, would repeal a 1987 amendment to the state's "Seven-Year Statute."
Pink, Sony Music Publishing Chairman/CEO Jon Platt and the late songwriter/producer Busbee will be honored at the Songwriters of North America’s second annual SONA Warrior Awards, taking place as a hybrid celebration comprised of an in-person gala on July 23 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles and a virtual livestream via mandolin.com on July 24.
