This month’s “In the Room w/…” livestream series celebrates AAPI Heritage Month with AZRA, a pop-rock artist, songwriter, and multidisciplinary artist, in conversation with Siddhartha Khosla, an Emmy-nominated composer, singer/songwriter, and producer. Watch the livestream on Tues. May 21 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET, by subscribing to our YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@wearesona_.

AZRA is a multidisciplinary independent artist, songwriter, author, dancer and model. Her signature Substance Pop sound channels cathartic power pop, rock, punk, dance, and metal influences with heavy 808 beats. Her music has been featured on KROQ, Korea Daily, Five Guys Burgers, KBS America and KBS TV Network.

She immigrated to San Jose, CA with her family at 9 years old from South Korea. Having been diagnosed with glaucoma and temporarily losing sight in her right eye at age 19, AZRA found herself face to face with a life-changing illness that led her to begin a journey of self-acceptance and finding the deeper meanings of life, which she channels through her Substance Pop genre.

Siddhartha Khosla is a seven time Emmy-nominated film and television composer, singer/songwriter, and producer of the critically acclaimed band, Goldspot.

Khosla’s Emmy nominations include his work on Hulu’s “Only Murders In The Building” and NBC’s Emmy-winning drama series, “This Is Us.” Khosla has the distinction of being the first South Asian person in history to be nominated in each of the Primetime Emmy score and song categories.
